One of our Board of Trustees members, John Timberlake, has been named the FSL Chuck Murphy Executive of the Year, which marks his second consecutive year and fifth time overall that he has been honored as the Executive of the Year. Congratulations, John!

Clearwater For Youth was very glad to have participated with Crabby’s Dockside for their August Benefiting Month! A check of over $7,000 was raised to help support the CFY mission! Thank you to Crabby’s and everyone that participated for the month of August!

Congratulations to Katelyn Schneider, our 2017 Don Zimmer Memorial $5,000 College Scholarship recipient, sponsored by the Tampa Bay Rays! She was presented her award at the CFY 44th Annual Celebrity Banquet on February 25, 2017. Katelyn was recently recognized at a Ray’s home game and is pictured with Mrs. Soot Zimmer and Trip Weaver, CFY Board of Trustees member.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in honor of the new partnership between Clearwater High School and St. Petersburg College, who will call Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater their new home baseball field. Clearwater For Youth provided a $25,000 grant for the project, which matched five $5,000 donations including those from the Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, and Toronto Blue Jays.
